Why Choose Helical Worm Gear Motor

Compared to conventional gear units, helical gears have more teeth in contact. This produces a higher sliding friction between the teeth and causes more wear during operation. Because of this, the efficiency of helical gears is significantly lower. This makes it less cost effective than worm gears for high ratio applications.
The S series helical worm gear motor is an excellent choice for simple applications. It has a large carrying capacity, a smooth transmission, and can be easily installed. It can also be connected with various speed reducers. It has high processing precision and can reach 58-62HRC surface hardness. It can be mounted in six basic mounting styles. It can be used for applications in every industrial sector.
A helical gear reducer is better suited for applications that require higher torque. It is often used to tune gates and elevators. A helical reducer can reduce the pressure on an industrial gear system by providing accurate linear movement. It can also be used to construct non-reversible drives.
The helical worm gear is a geared motor that offers many benefits, including reduced noise development, high efficiency, and reduced energy costs. It can be configured with a wide variety of AC motors. It has an easy to install design, with no recesses to block the drive shaft. It can also be adapted for foot-mounted and flanged designs. It can be used in a variety of locations, such as food and beverage industries.
The helical form can be more efficient than a worm gearbox, but the relative efficiency is lower. Because of the difference in the amount of contact between the teeth, the efficiency of a helical gear reducer is much lower than that of a worm gearbox. This is a major factor in calculating the TCO, or total cost of ownership. For example, if a worm gearbox has an efficiency of 94%, and a helical right angle reducer has an efficiency of 85%, then the helical reducer will cost $300 more. However, when a helical worm gear reducer is compared to a worm gearbox, the helical gear reducer's relative efficiency increases as the ratio increases. This means that the helical worm gear reducer will usually be more cost effective than a worm gearbox for low-ratio applications.

The simple design makes for cost-effectiveness.  Use the S series gear units to implement simple tasks in your machine or plant applications. The linear power transmission makes the helical-worm gear units especially quiet in operation. The combination with a helical gear stage significantly increases the efficiency compared to pure worm gear units.
